SAM MALONE AND THE NEED FOR ACCOUNTABLE BLACK LEADERSHIP

Share

I feel the need to write a disclaimer when publishing this vile, hate filled garbage but over the past several years I have learned that it will be ignored. I/we have been accused of promoting this hate speech because we publish it or (and this is funny) the accusations fly that we are racist for NOT publishing this filth.

CrittendenCountyArkansas.com, Delta Creative, Inc. and our related intities are minority held. Aside from this... We do not condone, respect or advocate racism or racialy motivated hate. We do respect the individual and the individuals right of free speech as outlined in the Constitution of the United States.

SAM MALONE AND THE NEED FOR ACCOUNTABLE BLACK LEADERSHIP
IS IT SAM MALONE'S FAULT OR IS IT OUR'S; WE NEED TO BE HONEST
BY
SHABAKA AFRIKA, CRITTENDEN COUNTY NAACP PRESIDENT

It has been said that "a people can go no further than the character and integrity of their leadership will take them".

Question......Is Black "leadership" a reflection of failure in the Black community, or is the social, political, and economic condition of the Black community a reflection of it's failed leadership? This is the critical question that needs to to be seriously addressed by each *of us. The central theme in the ministry of Jesus (YESHUA in ancient Aramaic) the Christ (the anointed savior) is SHABAKA AFRIKA, CRITTENDEN COUNTY NAACP PRESIDENTaccountability to divine principles (God). He demonstrates in his classic conversation with the famous biblical sell-out Nicodemus that "SALVATION' (health, wealth, safety, prosperity, soundness, and deliverance) can only be achieved through spiritual accountability (being born again....John 3:1-15). Throughout his short ministry, Jesus the Christ (the physical example of the divine) preached and lectured to the common Judean folk (today's Palestine and Israel was Judea in ancient times) that all of their problems would be solved if they would only submit and take on the divine nature of the creator (God). His condemnation of the "uncle tom" Judean leaders (who  had been bought and co-opted by the invading European Romans) often referred to as Pharisees and Sadducees who by today's politically correct and compromised standards would be considered by  most of us as "too harsh" and "over-the-top" even by many church folk. Many if not most contemporary religious leaders  would advise Jesus to "tone down", or they'd say to him...."You're too confrontational". They would probably say.......You know you can catch more flies with honey". We believe that Jesus the Christ (the anointed one) would say to his critics just what a few of us, his true followers, are today saying......"We are trying to SAVE (transform) the conditions of the people.... 'We a'int trying to catch no damn flies". Ya feel me!

Scripture tells us that Yeshua (Jesus in contemporary theology) physically drove the money-changers (those leaders pimping in the name of God) from the house of God. It appears that Jesus became so angry that he put a foot in the backside of some no good church (Temple) leaders (Matthew 21: 9-11). Sounds like our lord and savior (one who sets the selfless example of what it means to be righteous) was pissed at crooked preachers just like we should all be today. Consider what he must have felt about these no good political and religious leaders......He called them "dogs, snakes, murderers, and such"(Matthew 23). And in response to Jesus' absolute condemnation of their betrayal of their own people, these dishonest Pharisees and Sadducees went to their European/Roman bosses to have Yeshua (Jesus) assassinated by crucifixion (John 11: 45-48). You see Jesus' voice had to be silenced in their view. They were afraid that if the Judean people (Ancient Judeans were Black people before the invasion of Arabs and other racial groups) listened to Jesus, that these "White boys" from Rome would take away their little positions and their little "make-believe" power. If this story sounds familiar, it should because this is the exact same system that we are living in today with the exact same corrupt institutions and people that Jesus (Yeshua) was sent to CONDEMN, and to EXPOSE, and to SAVE (transform). Ya hur me!

A few weeks ago former West Memphis police officer, former West Memphis school board member, and former Crittenden County Justice of the Peace (county commission in Tennessee) announced that he had been "called"  to preach the truth of God to the rest of us, and will be delivering his first sermon on the 4th Sunday in January. WOW, or Is it just me? Just in the last few months Sam Malone has been indicted by the federal government on charges of absentee voter fraud, and has plead guilty, and is awaiting sentencing. Each of the positions just mentioned have been taken from him as he is now a convicted felon. And what is more......By law he can never hold these positions again. Tell me this.....How is it that the federal, state, and local government finds that Sam Malone cannot be trusted with the "public trust", after a long careful investigation, but we the Black church, and the Black community can sanction him to be a religious leader? Yet we say we "love Jesus". How? The federal government is holding Malone accountable for betraying the public trust, but we the Black community are going to reward him by elevating him to the position of licensed, very likely ordained minister. Where is the accountability people, or are we just as crooked as Sam Malone? Well! Jesus the Christ physically removed the Sam Malone of his day from church, but we allow them to be leaders in our churchs, maybe even pastor! Jesus condemed the Sam Malones for selling out our votes, for siding with the power structure to deny our children a proper educational system, and refusing to protect the human and civil rights of those who are routinely violated. Could it be that most of us are just like Sam Malone? Could it be that he knows that, and that is why he felt no shame in presenting himself to us as a minister of the most high God.

The Black community here is in many ways like a 3rd world nation, full of corruption, occupied, ruled and exploited from the outside through a network of surrogate political and often religious Black leaders. Almost all Black elected officials here are bought/owned, or otherwise compromised. Sam Malone is just one of many crooks who have whored themselves out for a "few pieces of silver". Interestingly when the power boys have finished with them, they throw them away. But you all see this. You are lying if you say you don't. We at ourview wm naacp told you over a year ago what was happening. Did you care? We told you that the Blacks on The West Memphis City Council were no good along with most of those on the Crittenden County Quorom Court, and the West Memphis school board. But you knew that. Did you care? What are you going to do about it? Our history here says we are going to do nothing. Apparently history is correct, because we keep electing crooked people to office, and all too often selecting known reprobates to be religious leaders. Remember "we reap what we sow". In other words, we get what we deserve.

The Crittenden County NAACP is a strong voice for change, and we are making a difference. We are not bought, owned or leased, nor are we afraid, but most of our so-called Black leaders are......Real talk! We are making a real and lasting change, and we will never sell-out our purpose and vision. On January 3, 2011 during our CCounty NAACP installation service we announced that we were going to publicly condemn anyone working against the power interests of our community, and we have and are doing just that. As a matter of fact we are going to turn it up a notch in 2013.  We have spent the last almost (2) years trying to work with Black elected officials at all levels, and most like Sam Malone have demonstrated that their personal agendas are the extent of their concerns. Many (like Sam) have chosen to work directly with our enemies to attack and attempt to marginalize us. News flash......It won't work. "No weapon formed against us (freedom fighters) shall prosper". We told you about Sam Malone, Eric Cox (of Earle), and Lorenzo Parker and many others last year. We explained to you how and why they were selling-out our community, and that they were under law enforcement investigation. And yes, our understanding is that there are more charges and or indictments to come. Some were shocked, and some were even angry with us for exposing these crooks. We say get mad with the state police or the F.B.I. Yeah, I thought so, cause they a'int gon hear Ya. Maybe we need to be angry with ourselves for failing to develop and enforce standards of behavior and leadership in our community and religious institutions  which would produce the kind of social, political, and economic stability that would save (increase life-potential) us. Remember, the Sam Malones that we complain about are quite simply the out growth of the institutionalized, and often accepted corruption in our community. Tell the truth somebody......"It will make us free". LET THE CHURCH SAY AMEN!
